Job Title: Freight Forwarder (Logistics Coordinator)

Location:  Lancaster, TX

Pay: $22.50 - $30.25 (based on experience, tenure, and skillset).

Job Type:  Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule:  Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder – Ocean Export to join our client’s team. This role involves managing the exportation of goods via ocean freight, including handling carrier bookings, tracking shipments, processing necessary documentation, and communicating with customers and third-party service providers. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the export of goods by ocean freight, including coordinating carrier bookings and managing shipments through various transportation methods.
  • Prepare and process required export documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, for customs clearance.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing customers with frequent updates on the status of their shipments.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams like logistics, finance, and operations to deliver efficient services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and trade laws.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as cost and rate calculations.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations.
  • Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems.
