We are looking for a Warehouse Manager with our client in Mississauga, ON.
Pay Rate : $80K-$90K
Duration : Direct Placement
Shift: M-F 8:30am- 5pm
Position Purpose:
To manage and supervise the warehouse staff in order to maintain effective overall warehouse operations and building maintenance/cleanliness. To manage all factors influencing the movement and storage of merchandise within the Canadian warehouse environments.
This position requires someone on-site and does not qualify for the hybrid working program.
Essential Functions:
· Manage warehouse and logistics team, which includes staffing, scheduling training, management of work flow and warehouse operations and performance reviews.
· Assist and support team with the day-to-day operations including picking, packing and shipping of orders, receiving and putting away inventory when needed.
· Maintain precious alloy inventory and utilize prescribed procedures to ensure proper inventory control in Mississauga.
· Ensure all orders are shipped timely and accurately amd inbound shipments are received in and putaway accurately and effectively.
· Facilitate daily shop floor meetings and update shopfloor board for KPIs (as deputy)
· Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives physically within the warehouse and through process improvements.
· Review KPI's to ensure team performance complies with set goals and performance standards.
· Create and maintain work instructions, forms, and instructional documentation for the warehouse processes in our Quality Management System.
· Process customer returns as needed.
· Maintain communications between the Canadian, Amherst and Schaan locations as it relates to distribution and inventory control issues.
· Ensure night security procedures for the facility are followed.
· Assign, execute and complete cycle counts to 100% for all storage locations throughout the year to be completed prior to year end.
· Prepare Customs Documents for international shipments (as deputy).
· Troubleshoot issues with scanners, printers and other equipment within the warehouse when escalated.
· Perform testing of IMWM transactions and processes in SAP and complete documentation as needed.
· Enter tickets for IMWM issues in SAP.
· Assist with upkeep of building facilities.
· Maintain records for facility related vendors and servicing.
· Support the Operations Manager in associated training initiatives, drive process improvements, and project tasks.
· Prepare and conduct employee performance review(s) based on the guidelines of the Dialog process on an annual basis.
· Coordinate dealings and negotiations with domestic carriers.
· Support with budget forecast processes.
· Perform other duties as prescribed by the Operations Manager.
· Implement and develop all responsibilities as associated with the following subprocess to fulfill Ivoclar Vivadent Inc.'s Quality System : MOD-00918-EN, MOD-00228-EN, MOD-00842-EN, MOD-00919-EN
Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience as a Warehouse Manager
· Clear communication skills in English, both verbally and written
· Advanced SAP R/3 IMWM skills and knowledge strongly preferred
· Knowledge of WHMIS/TDG regulations preferred
· Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
· Experience with scanners required
Physical Demands:
· Ability and dexterity to work in a fast-paced standing/moving position for long periods of time required.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis.
