Job Description

Visual Brand Designer

Contract : 4 months

Location : Seattle, WA (hybrid - 3 days per week)

Scope of Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person who can work well in a deadline driven atmosphere. They should have strong design knowledge, and be able to take this couple with brand guidance to design assets, guidance, and decks as required. This position requires intrinsic design acumen, typographic skills, print and digital expertise, and acute attention to detail. Not only do you have the technical skills and a portfolio to back it up, you function as a conceptual thinker who can bring fresh ideas to the team. Additionally, the candidate should thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking creative direction, and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities include

  • Designing strongly branded mockups and assets
  • Crafting mood boards and decks
  • Building templates and documentation around brand guidance
  • Fulfilling multiple project requests while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines
  • Design and execute the design of existing brands across multiple outputs
  • Maintaining high-quality creative, strong attention to detail, while operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Take direction from team and Creative Directors and Leadership, while exhibiting ownership and backbone to bring design excellence to the department
  • Contribute and grow the group’s best practices

Basic qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a visual designer
  • 4+ Experience designing for digital and print
  • Degree in design or equivalent professional experience required
  • Online portfolio of design work that showcases your role in each project

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing brand guidelines
  • Experience in a variety of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles
  • Experience creating and implementing a design system across multiple platforms
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, enthusiastic team player
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to positively influence change through inspirational design, solid rationale, supporting data and diplomacy
