Tool Room Monitor 

Job Summary:

The Tool Room Monitor is responsible for maintaining and managing the inventory of tools and equipment within the tool room. This role involves issuing and receiving tools, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the tool room trailer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of all tools and equipment in the tool room.
    
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to identify shortages or discrepancies.
    
  • Order and restock supplies as needed.
    
• Tool Issuance and Return:
  • Issue tools and equipment to authorized personnel, ensuring proper documentation.
    
  • Inspect returned tools for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor.
    
  • Clean and maintain tools before returning them to storage.
    
• Tool Room Maintenance:
  • Keep the tool room clean, organized, and well-lit.
    
  • Ensure proper storage of tools and equipment to prevent damage and loss.
    
  • Regularly clean and maintain tool room equipment, such as tool grinders and sharpening machines.
    
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
    
• Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Assist with other tasks as needed, such as cleaning work areas or helping with maintenance projects.
    

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or industrial environment.
  
• Exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Previous experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment preferred.
  
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of tools and equipment.
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  
• Repetitive motions, such as bending, reaching, and lifting.
