Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking a highly motivated  Software Engineer to join our experienced technical team. The person in this role will be an active member of our team supporting the design and development of a transport-agnostic, high availability, guaranteed delivery, messaging system. This is an opportunity to work on a greenfield project, our teams and customers are open to innovative ideas! This position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance with all duties to be performed onsite at the Sponsor facility in the Northern VA area

Job Duties:
  • Assist with designing systems resilient to data disruption due to Denied, Disrupted, Intermittent and Limited Impact (DDIL) bandwidth areas
  • Convert existing stream-based solutions to durable store and forward implementations
  • Develop data agnostic protocols to support advanced delivery schemes
  • Develop priority routing schemes based on application policy
  • Perform delivery optimization decisions in the context of network performance (i.e., DDIL) and policy engine inputs

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or another related technical field
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience
  • Experience with full stack development practices and principles
  • Strong understanding of modern system architectures
  • Experience with a high-level programming language such as C#, C++, Java, etc.


Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Strong understanding of message queuing techniques
  • Knowledgeable of Radio Frequency (RF) technologies
