Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented  Senior   Software Engineer  supporting our government Sponsor. The person in this position will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing a variety of systems. Our team is currently focused on the containerization of a large Service Bus architecture, and your expertise will contribute to the success of our mission-critical systems. This position is located in the Chantilly, VA area requiring that all job duties be performed onsite full-time.

Job Duties:

• Participate in the development of a Microservices-based, Cloud Agnostic, System Architecture
• Develop user stories, participate in daily Stand-Ups, bi-weekly Sprint Planning and quarterly Planning Increment Events
• Develop software, unit tests and installation procedures in a variety of languages based on tasking
• Work with the test team to develop Integration Test Plans
• Provide Tier 3 Support (business hours only) for an existing Mission System

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong experience with JIRA for test case management and defect tracking.
• Experience in software testing, with a focus on testing cloud-based platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
• Security+ certified or willing to obtain prior to hire (certification costs reimbursed)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals certified or willing to obtain prior to hire (certification costs reimbursed)

Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

• Must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph level security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 11+ years of relevant work experience OR 15+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• Software development experience with C# (.Net Framework, .Net Core)
• Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Relational Databases such as SqlServer and PostgreSql
• Python skills preferred
• Experience with containerization preferred
