Job Description

Job Summary:

S&S Truck Parts is a 70-year-old company which sells class 6, 7, and 8 truck parts through a network of strategic distributors. S&S Truck Parts is owned by Investcorp, a private equity growth firm, and is run by the family which started the business with the focus on continuing the unprecedented growth achieved over the past 6 years.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) acquires, develops, and implements individual strategic plans for highly valued regional prospects and strategic regional accounts. These strategic plans should support the customer/prospects business while increasing internal revenue and profits.

Strategic planning would include developing customized programs, customer incentive programs, product conversions, training sessions, and field engagement.

Business acquisition would include prospecting, negotiating, building private label programs, pricing, and overall winning accounts from our competitors.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

Growing Base Business

Establish key C-Suite relationships

Conduct quarterly customer KPI meetings

Revenue performance for each prospect and strategic account

Engage in creating conversion opportunities from competitors

Build relationships with customers by using knowledge and experience

Acquiring New Accounts

Establish key C-Suite relationships

Build and manage your pipeline

Close new business opportunities

Implement new account wins

All other duties assigned as business needs deem necessary.

Success Factors/Key Metrics:

Will to win new prospects from our direct competitors

Ability to drive sales performance via program selling

Increase share of wallet expansion via expanding product offering and NPI

Create business sustainability via 100% retention of all current accounts

Responsible for all current accounts and non-national account prospects in the territory.

Ability to solution sell and program manage

Able to achieve revenue target

Achieve activity standards

Attain new business target

Job Skills and Qualifications/Knowledge and Skills:

5+ years of experience in selling new business.

5+ years in strategic account management.

5+ years in heavy duty truck parts

Proven record of successfully driving profitable account growth.

Excellent communication skills, initiative-taking, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, well organized, and the ability to develop relationships.

Ability to work in a fast pace, high volume environment

Up to 50% travel – Domestically?
