Job Description:

The Extended Food and Nutrition Program ( EFNEP ) seeks a Program
Assistant (PA) to deliver nutrition education programs and related subject-matter areas (food
safety, food resource management , cooking, and physical activity ) to limited resourced
families, youth, Special Supplemental Nutrition Programs for Women, Infants, and Children
( WIC ) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ( SNAP ) eligible families in Davison
County, TN to promote health and wellness.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Assistant responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
-Recruit and retain eligible participants for EFNEP programing.
-Conduct and evaluate nutrition education programing to eli gible participant using
approved EFNEP curriculum.
-Network with other agencies and potential clients within targeted community, as well
as build and maintain working relationships with cooperating agencies and schools.
-Maintain communication with supervisors, mentors, and other program staff.
-Willingness to work on weekends.
-Follows guideline as required by State and USDA
-Perform other related duties as required.
