Job Posting: Phlebotomist
Location : Bakersfield, CA
Job Shift : Day, Evening
Shift Length : 8 Hours
Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) via AAH Certificate
• California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) II and CA license required

Job Requirements

• Must be able to draw blood from patients of all ages.
• Experience : 2 years in phlebotomy.
• Charting System : Cerner required.
• Equipment Used : Laptop with Cerner Pathways application.
• Work Areas : All hospital departments requiring blood draws.
• Shifts : 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM, First to float, Every Other Weekend (EOW).
• Weekend Requirements : Yes, alternating weekends.
• Holiday Requirements : Yes.
• Scrub Color : Red.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood sampling for various laboratory tests while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collect and process specimens accurately, adhering to established protocols and laboratory procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs, providing essential patient care throughout the procedure.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient service and support.
