Role Description

We are seeking a Off-Price Buyer / Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a specific category of consumer goods; sourcing through existing and new clients and managing the supply to our retailers, and developing new business opportunities.

The role requires the ability to multitask throughout the day, communicate clearly with team members, and ensure the overall success of the buying department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of both suppliers and customers, building long-term relationships with them
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients
  • Process deal flow from start to finish, including logistics
  • Achieve sales targets and goals
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting
  • Collaborate with our buying team to ensure we have the right products to meet our clients' needs
  • Attend trade shows to showcase our products and meet with both current and prospective clients
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve any client issues in a timely manner

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the off-price industry or with brick and mortar retailers
  • A proven track record of success in a commission based selling environment
  • A great sense of style and a keen eye for consumer trends
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Google Docs
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows (up to 10% of the time)
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
