Job Description

Summary: Maintains patient flow, coordinates patient treatment throughout their program while serving as a resource for medical staff

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

● Ensures flow of patient care in the clinic.

● Supervises and serves as a resource for medical assistants.

● Monitors orientation and onboarding of all medical staff.

● Completes and audit patient charts.

● Takes and records temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.

● Gives medication as directed by Physician and makes notation of amount and time given.

● Oversee or Administers intravenous injections.

● Oversee or Performs phlebotomy.

● Order inventory on a weekly basis.

● Coordinates patient care throughout their treatment program.

● Communicates with outside medical offices (Physical Therapy, Primary Care, Pharmacy, etc.).

● Completes administrative paperwork (FMLA forms, disability forms, work notes, etc.).

● Participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.

● Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in the science of nursing or equivalent

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing and system software.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

Active State Registered Nurse License
