About the Role:

This role is responsible for the design, development, and testing of new products, as well as the improvement of existing ones. They are involved in every stage of product development, from the initial concept to the final launch. They are responsible for creating CAD models, P&IDs, and drawings necessary for the cost estimation and manufacturing of products for the company.

This role will support customer, manufacturing, service, and field projects, responsible for project management and helping to identify all requirements and specifications. They will support the manufacturing floor to enable the fabrication of new products. They also will be involved in developing new processes and ensuring that all manufacturing standards and regulations are met for design and product development.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce engineering drawings with models for new products.
  • Use models to develop manufacturing assembly documentations
  • Develop and draft detailed P&ID and mechanical designs using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborate with product engineers to verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations.
  • Use design to generate BOMs for fabrication and purchasing requirements.
  • Establish and create standard design specifications and documentation for the company.
  • Estimate material and production costs for designs.
  • Support the manufacturing team with developing engineering documentation, including process flows, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team by conducting root cause analysis for production issues and lead corrective action initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years in drafting and design using AutoCAD.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite.
