Sky High Farm Universe is a mission-driven brand supporting food security through innovative partnerships and consumer engagement. Established by Dan Colen and Daphne Seybold in 2022, the brand is a new model for business that prioritizes support and advocacy for Sky High Farm 501C(3), an organization built to generate greater equity in our food system.

Focusing on deadstock fabrics, and utilitarian workwear silhouettes rendered in exceptional fabrics, the brand combines functionality with subtle nods to the agricultural workers who steward the land that the brand supports. The brand has collaborated with partners including Nike, Comme des Garçons SHIRT, Converse, Balenciaga, Denim Tears, and Tata Harper to bring the food equity conversation to global audiences and support something beyond the creation of products.

Overview of The Role

Sky High Farm Universe is looking for a talented, mission-passionate marketer to report to the CMO and work closely with internal and external teams to build demand for the Sky High Farm Universe brand. This person will be integral in sharing the story of Sky High Farm Universe and its products, along with its connection to its sister organization Sky High Farm 501(C)3. 

We’re looking for a marketer who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are alike, demonstrating exceptional adaptability and the ability to pivot quickly while maintaining strategic focus. 

As a member of the start-up team, this role provides the opportunity to partner with and learn from a team of leaders and creatives with a proven track record of success across a wide range of spaces. We love bold, creative thinking and are excited to bring someone on who brings innovative ideas to the table – with the execution chops to see them through. Experience with consumer products is a must, not necessarily in fashion.

Reporting Structure:

  • Partner with the CMO and team to manage, refine, and execute brand/marketing strategy and audience messaging. 
  • Partner with Creative Director and Product Owners on product launch, design, and messaging concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept and execute social media strategies that support business objectives while cutting through the noise. Develop content strategies that engage and educate our audience across web, app, email, blog, events, and more. 
  • Run the show across all social channels (including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn): prioritization, content ideation, social calendar management, production and measurement.
  • Lead the marketing of new product launches across earned, owned and paid channels. 
  • Utilize research and data to drive actionable insights to develop results-oriented marketing strategies and plans. 
  • Own the marketing programs and go-to-market strategy for influencer/creator marketing programs.
  • Design, manage, and execute community marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive results and learnings. 

Key Initiatives:

  • Work closely with CMO to complete a detailed brand audit, including strategy/positioning, and messaging.
  • Support new product launch campaigns and upcoming partnerships (with some of the biggest global fashion and sportswear brands).
  • Develop a go-to-market approach for ongoing product launches. 
  • Build our content engine (educational, thought leadership) across organic channels, including social/podcast/digital media. 
  • Launch brand, influencer, and talent partnerships that drive trust and credibility for the brand.

Qualifications:

  • You have 4+ years of experience in consumer marketing, with some mix of brand, product, content and/or social media marketing experience. 
  • At least 1+ years of experience in a results-oriented leadership role with targets to achieve (i.e audience growth, sales growth, return on investment, click-through rate, conversion rate, etc.)
  • Strong command of digital marketing channels and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a passion for content creation.
  • You’re a self-starter, detail and deadline-oriented, organized, resourceful, and have the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • You have creative and design chops and bring multiple skills to the table (i.e. copy, graphic design, photography, videography). You identify as more of a generalist than a specialist.
  • You have experience managing multiple marketing initiatives and campaigns at once.
  • You are both right brained and left brained – and have demonstrated experience leveraging analytical rigor & insight to drive your creativity.
