Job Description

Matthews | DCCM is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Landscape Architect, you will create sustainable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces for various projects, including commercial, industrial, parks and recreation, and public developments.

What You Will Do:

• Design Development: Assist in creating conceptual and detailed landscape designs, including drafting, 3D modeling, and rendering using tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar software.
• Site Analysis: Conduct site visits to gather data, perform site analysis, and document existing conditions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members and clients to ensure the integration of design elements and project objectives.
• Project Documentation: Support the preparation of technical drawings, construction documents, and specifications.
• Research: Conduct research on plant materials, sustainable practices, and innovative design solutions.
• Presentation Support: Assist in the preparation of presentations, renderings, and materials for client meetings or public engagements.

What You Bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture

Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar). Knowledge of plant materials, irrigation design, and landscape construction principles.
