Job Description

The tasks a Doubling-Machine Operator (Textile) is expected to perform include:Tending the machine that winds two or more strands of yarn. Ensuring that the strands of yarn are placed parallel in the bobbin or the tube that is preparatory to twisting. Placing the supply packages in creel. Drawing the yarn ends through machine guides and tensions that are placed on the take up tube. Observing the operation to detect yarn breaks Ensuring that yarn supply is not exhausted and there is full package on the take up tubes. Piecing up the yarn breaks by using a knotter .Replacing the supply packages in the creel
Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world class quality. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy.
Responsibilities:
Follow all safety procedures including wearing of all required personal protective equipment.
Effectively and safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and all related equipment to ensure all daily orders are met.
Complete safety observations when assigned.
Read and follow standard work for assigned machine.
Follow all standard work processes.
Verify proper components at the work station before beginning a job.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Hours: 12 Hour Shifts, 2 days on, 2 days off 2 day on 2 days off 3 days on 3days off 7:00pm to 7:00am

SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:
Previous mechanical experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
High School Diploma or GED
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to learn and perform all scheduled job procedures independently; to keep the assigned job functioning at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be physically equipped to maintain an upright, walking position for a twelve (12) hour shifts. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must keep work area and machines clean. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times and adhered to all safety rules and procedures.
